The added climbing features are cool and take a lot of the monotony out of holding a joystick down for several minutes which frees you up to watch the action and enjoy the environments. They definitely "video-gamed" it up, the did a great job with it. Uncharted is a different story while agree with many criticisms regarding the story, this is the most fun I've had while playing an Uncharted game. LD is not bad for a pack in as it gives you an idea of what functionality the Vita has to offer but there is nothing spectacular about the game itself. Along with Little Deviants I purchased Uncharted. I wouldn't say I'm not a handheld kinda guy, but the last portable system I owned was a DS Lite, and over Christmas I did consider buying a 3DS. My main Vita is on 3.51 and it does everything I need it do, more or less, and it only cost £60 before factoring in memory cards and the odd PS Store purchase.I really don't know enough about the Vita at all, and it may be too soon to tell whether it's worth the money or not, but I was wondering what people think about it as of now. So the conclusion I have is, it's a pain to hack but if handheld gaming is important to you that's the way to go. Added to that you have TN-V for the PSP emulation (and the PSP emulation itself gives way to gPSP/ScummVM/PicoDrive), Rejuvenate for superior quality SNES/Genesis emulation via RetroArch and most recently TheFloW's PS1 Loader bubble hack there's a lot that can be done with it, plus I can use the PS3 Link to play Tokyo Jungle (a game that for my money works better on the Vita than it does on the PS3 itself) or as a cross-controller for Deus Ex: Human Revolution too. Plus, there are a couple of titles on the Vita that are worth owning, such as Tearaway and Zen Pinball 2.

And it only gets 444 half the time if you manual overclock the thing. Its at least partially emulated and runs at half speed with frameskipping. The screens on all the others just didn't cut it, they all had problems (PSPs = 1000 too dark/motion blur, 2000 = too washed out and gamma cranked, 3000 = scanlines, Vita Slim = blackish grays and poor contrast ratio). You can see how it works for yourself by watching the jak and daxter collection for vita. Beautiful screen, comfortable controls, a nice little handheld regardless of how Sony didn't follow through on their promise. Take it as someone who had the PSP-1000, PSP-2000, PSP-3000 and PCH-2000 (Vita Slim) there is a reason I chose the PS Vita PCH-1000 in the end, it's the build quality. Whether or not you take the time to modify the PS Vita for exploit awesomeness is how much good quality gaming with physical buttons means to you.
